New Spa Delivery

Pre-Delivery Guide

Now that you have picked out the perfect hot tub, here comes the exciting part: hot tub installation.

Read our guide below so you can know what to expect and be better prepared for a smooth delivery.

CHOOSE YOUR FOUNDATION

*Delivery Crews cannot level spa foundation at the time of delivery*

*If leveling is required, give us a call beforehand to discuss details, as we can provide this service*

Common Foundations Below

Concrete Pad or Patio:

This is a common choice because it’s frequently already a part of a patio or yard design and is also sturdy and long-lasting. If you have an existing concrete surface, just ensure it is level and is in good condition. You can also have a single slab of concrete poured into a custom foundation.

Deck:

This can be a good spot to place your hot tub, since a deck is typically already level. Simply have it inspected before your hot tub is installed and be sure you have the proper supports. Most decks can hold a hot tub, but you want to be certain.

ELECTRICAL

Most hot tubs require 120 volt or 240 volts depending on size of the tub. Research the specific spa you purchased to determine which connection you will need. If the hot tub requires a hard-wired connection, you will need a licensed electrician to install a GFCI panel and a minimum of 15 feet of wiring.

NC code requires your spa to be placed at least 6 feet from your breaker box

PATH FOR DELIVERY

Our delivery crew will help you work out the details, but here are some steps you can take to ensure the delivery runs smoothly.

  • Check the width of gates, doors, stairs and sidewalks to ensure your spa will pass through unobstructed.

    • It may be necessary to remove a gate or part of a fence

  • Make sure the spa will fit around any 90° turns.

  • Remove objects like plants or outdoor furniture that might hinder the delivery team.

  • Consider overhead clearance: inspect your yard for low roof eaves, overhanging branches, or rain gutters.

*A crane may occasionally be required to lift the spa over your house to its final location. While it may sound extreme, it’s actually a common practice and is sometimes the easiest and safest delivery method.
